Meet the Maker: The Poured Project at the Shoffice

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting our latest Meet the Maker event at the Shoffice, this time with the exceptional team behind The Poured Project. From 4pm to 8pm, the Shoffice opened its doors to clients, collaborators and design enthusiasts for an evening of conversation, design inspiration and discovery.

The Poured Project, a Yorkshire-based design studio, specialises in handcrafted architectural pieces made from concrete. Their product range includes elegant concrete wash hand basins and sculptural concrete radiators, each crafted with an extraordinary level of detail, material knowledge and aesthetic sensitivity. Their work represents a fusion of contemporary craft and industrial precision, offering something truly unique to both commercial and residential architecture.

Throughout the evening, our guests explored the Shoffice while engaging in thoughtful discussion with the team from The Poured Project. It was a relaxed and insightful setting, accompanied by carefully selected drinks and refreshments. The event allowed visitors to get hands-on with a selection of pieces from the Poured Project’s current collection, gaining a deeper understanding of the design process and material innovations behind each product.

Concrete is often underappreciated in domestic or interior settings, yet The Poured Project demonstrates how versatile and expressive it can be. Their wash hand basins are both sculptural and functional, and their radiators challenge preconceptions of heating design by blending performance with minimalist form. Each piece is made to order in their North Yorkshire studio, allowing for a high level of customisation, from surface finishes to colours and configurations.

At Grace and Morris, we are committed to supporting British design talent and creating meaningful connections between makers and the architectural community. Events such as this one reinforce our belief that good design is best appreciated in context – in conversation, with a glass in hand, and among peers who understand its value.

If you are an architect in Harrogate or the surrounding area looking for distinctive, high-quality architectural features, we strongly recommend exploring what The Poured Project has to offer. Their work brings a refined, tactile quality to spaces and can help elevate both the visual and material language of a project.

We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended and to The Poured Project for sharing their expertise and beautiful work with us. If you missed the event but would like to know more, please do not hesitate to get in touch or arrange a visit to the Shoffice.
